Some people may think or believe that being a person of faith is about restrictions, laws, and rules. Granted The 10 Commandments were not The 10 Suggestions, however Jesus came to set us free, and so that we may have life more abundantly. There isn’t a human on earth that can follow enough laws and rules to get them into heaven. We are not saved by works, but by faith. Paul drives home that point in the book Galatians, and the book of James elaborates upon it as well.

When I started my journey of faith, it was in a…

“You are enough” Have you ever heard this said, or being said to you? Do you believe it? Let’s dig deeper…

First of all, I believe we are all miraculously, wonderfully and fearfully made (Psalm 139:14). However each of us as human beings need to believe this. I also believe we were all born and made for a purpose. (Jeremiah. 29:11). In addition, I believe we should learn what our purpose is, what makes us come alive, our ikigai. Once you truly discover, understand, realize and live this out, I have found that people enjoy more than just contentment, but…

If I were to share with you how many times the adversary has tried to decimate my faith, break my spirit, and destroy my life, it would be too much to both share and believe. The thing our mortal bodies need to realize is that if we simply stay focused, lean on God and call out to Him, He will fight much of our battles.

Mastering calmness is nearly a “super hero skill” as Bruce Lee once said, and trust me in our flesh in arduous times, setbacks, and attacks from the enemy it is not easy and may seem…

Life is full of lessons.

At least that is how I believe we should strive to approach things. I am one whom likes to learn, in fact I have enjoyed experiencing and learning new things as long as I can remember. One of my close friends had jokingly said that I am a “walking encyclopedia of useless knowledge.” Of course he said that after I beat him in NTN Trivia multiple times.

I recently learned something new, and it was a valuable lesson. However the experience leading up to the lesson was not very enjoyable at all.

I have a…

I recently had lunch with a wise man of God. A pastor. I was in need of his wise words, and fellowship. He was delighted to quickly meet with me. He has experienced and seen much in his life. In our 1.5 hour together, and many discussions, he reminded me of the story of Joseph, and what he endured. The jealousy, envy, to down right betrayal by his own biological brothers. Yet Joseph did not lose faith, nor did he lose heart. He was faithful TWENTY FOUR seven, and God not only used Joseph greatly, he blessed him tremendously.

Joseph…

I think most everyone has put a human being on a pedestal at some point or still may be doing that today. I have, and if your being honest with yourself, I may wager you have too.

Not sure why we fall into that trap when it is also contrary to the bible. Is it because we expect certain people we admire not to fail or make mistakes, or is it that we have a “rose colored” glasses view of that person or people? People will make mistakes, and people will fail you. However, God will not, and it is…

I was not in the military, and I have not fought a physical war for a country. However, I have the uttermost respect for those who have, and all those who are currently serving.

However, did you know there is a war going on every day, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year? Have you been Battle Tested? Do you have a Battle Buddy? Do you know what a Battle Buddy is?

As a man, I can say I have been Battled Tested Physically, Spiritually and Mentally. I have been in physical fights, and I…

If we are being honest, we all have tried to please someone. Whether it is our spouse, someone we are dating, our boss… Personally I do not think that is a bad thing to make efforts to please those that you love. To honor them, while demonstrating your love, not just in words, but in actions and deeds. However there is a trap with living your days as a “People Pleaser”. It is not only can ot be mentally unhealthy, and self defeating, it is an impossible feat. We were not designed by God to be People Pleasers.

I am not one to “push religion down someone’s throat”, as a matter of fact, a lot of “organized religion” makes me cringe. However, I am a man of faith in what I believe is the One true God, and His Son, Jesus Christ. To me, it is about a relationship and not religion.

You will not typically see me preaching on a street corner. However, you may see me listening attentively and replying with empathy to someone on a street corner or park bench.

You may not see me screaming from a podium, pulpit or stage “turn or burn!”…

I have not served in the military, but I have trained the military. I have not been off to a physical war, but I have been in a war.

The adversary to the creation of God is a master war strategist. He organized a war, a coup, a heavenly insurrection over God & His administration. This serpent cares nothing for humanity in fact he despises God’s creation of mankind. He seeks to devour and destroy it. He is a master manipulator, deceiver, war strategist and knows the bible better than many of mankind. …
